Heartfelt Thanks and Invitation to Our Upcoming Ride2Vote Event

We can’t thank you enough for the generous support you’ve given to Rideshare2Vote this year. Thanks to you, and the dedication of thousands of volunteers: phone bankers, dispatchers, drivers, office help, project managers, data analysts and programmers, we’ve achieved remarkable milestones in 2024—though our journey is far from over.

As a small token of our gratitude, we’d like to invite you to join us for an upcoming Zoom session where we’ll share preliminary data and insights from this year’s work, celebrating the impact you helped us create. You’ll have the opportunity to see firsthand the results of your support and hear about the road ahead, as we remain committed to driving voters to the polls, including in December.

When: November 20, 2024

Time: 4pm PST/ 6pm CST/ 7 pm EST

Where: Zoom Link is available in the Volunteer Resource Center, and will be sent via text and email.

In addition to this page we will send this via phone message, text, email, and post in the  volunteer resource center.

We deeply appreciate your dedication to our mission, and we look forward to learning from your insights as we continue striving to make Ride2Vote the most effective program of its kind in America.

With deep gratitude:

The Rideshare2Vote Team

Volunteer Update – Nov 5, 2024

  1. Check Your Texts Today
Please keep an eye on your text messages for any updates. If you haven’t received texts from us before, check your spam folder. We sent two text messages yesterday to all credentialed and voter ready drivers.

  2. Active Rides
An active ride includes any ride that’s accepted, in transit, or completed. If you’re on an active ride and need help, please use the “Message” feature to text dispatch directly.

  3. Self-Help Resources
With today’s high volume of ride requests, please refer to the Volunteer Resources Center for any troubleshooting needs. Our priority today is ensuring every voter requesting a ride gets to the polls.

  4. APP UPDATE:
Our app’s back end is working smoothly, dispatching rides dynamically based on driver and rider locations. Maps from prebooked rides and drivers are now obsolete; the system auto-assigns rides, so stay tuned to your app and be ready. If you encounter any issues, please check out our APP GUIDE posted in the Volunteer Resource Center. If you are on an active ride, ACTIVE RIDE (defined as accepted, in transit, completed) please use the message feature in the app only.

If you need app log in credentials they are:
    Auth Code: 61p593
    Password: Your home ZIP code

  5. No matter the wait time, we are a round trip ride service and you wait with your voter.

Thank you!

Update: Nov 4, 2024

Thank you for being such a vital part of our team this year. Through the ups, downs, and every interaction—whether excited, anxious, or determined—your dedication has made this year a success.

While some of you may be busier than others, we all agree we could be busier! Reaching non-voters is tough and takes time, but we’re making progress. For those who have been with us just this season, we invite you to stay on year-round. Every local election, special election, and runoff is critical in building democratic momentum. With just 3-6 driving days a year, your ongoing support would be invaluable.

Important: Read this Thoroughly

Please read this three times. Research shows that most of us retain only 10-25% of what we read on screens, and every detail here is crucial. This email contains everything you need for Tuesday, so please make sure you don’t miss anything as you will be self serving all day Thursday.

1. Zoom Office Update: we will not have a Zoom office open for help on Tuesday.

  • Any help you need on an ACTIVE RIDE (defined as accepted, in transit, completed) please use the message feature in the app only.
  • It will be open from 11-3 pm CDT on Monday November 4 for assistance but we CAN NOT guarantee we can help everyone personally.
  • Use the Volunteer Resource Center for materials to help you know what to do. There is a lot in there, like, app guide, the driver supply kit, app slide deck and video, etc. SERVE YOURSELF FULLY!!

3. Key Reminder: Every Driver Counts
The success of each voter’s ride depends on you. Even if a voter doesn’t get into your car, your availability ensures we can meet the demand.

4. Next Elections:
Happen in less than 3 weeks for runoffs across America. Watch your email and the Volunteer Resource Center to know if we need you again.

5. Checkered Flag Update:
Wednesday November 13, 2024, at 6 pm CDT for a Zoom session with Sarah, Paola, and the Ride2Vote team to review the results and share more on our next steps.

Thank you for being an essential part of this mission. We couldn’t do it without you!

6. Highlights of Your Impact

  • Record-breaking Ride2Vote Requests — More requests than ever!
  • More Completed Rides than Ever — Thanks to your hard work.
  • Demand Keeps Rising — Our outreach continues, and voters are trusting us to take them to the polls.

With tremendous gratitude,
Sarah and Paola
