I wanted to share the experience I had yesterday with my rider, Lisa. Lisa is remarkable. She revealed she has a life-threatening disease, Lupus, which is an auto-immune disorder. The medication she is
taking suppresses her immune system, making her extremely vulnerable to contracting infectious
diseases. Yet, she was determined to vote in spite of the risks to her health and life. She was so grateful for Rideshare2Vote because her car was in the shop. She also has a disabled daughter with brain damage due to a recent car collision. Yet, Lisa made voting a singular priority and accomplished this through Rideshare2Vote. On another level, there is a beautiful irony that the voting site we went to was a Muslim Islamic Mosque. This is our America!

The voter was so grateful that we gave him a ride. He served 5 tours in Vietnam and that caused him to be apathetic to voting and the federal government. However, he explained how important he felt it was to vote. He mentioned that we are helping save our democracy and that our work is so important.

I want to thank you, folks, again, for helping me to get a ride to vote. The round trip was about 30 minutes. I am so grateful. I was voter #489 at my voting location at Bonaire Middle School in Bonaire, Georgia, a little unincorporated community in a rural part of Middle Georgia near Warner Robins. Thank you for your service and my driver was great and courteous and went out of his way to provide any assistance. Grateful to you folks and would like to repay you somehow by making a donation of what I can afford to give in the coming days. I'm medically retired, a veteran and no transportation, so the ride was a blessing to enable me to still have a voice. Thank you!
